What is Polymeric Sand?
Polymeric sand is a high-tech mix of graded sand and binder additives designed to fill the joints between pavers, bricks, and natural stones. Unlike traditional sand, polymeric sand hardens when exposed to moisture, creating a solid, durable bond that helps prevent weed growth, insect infestation, erosion, and sand loss.
Benefits of Polymeric Sand:
Weed Control: Polymeric sand forms a tight seal between pavers, inhibiting weed growth and reducing the need for frequent maintenance.
Insect Resistance: The solid bond created by polymeric sand deters ants and other insects from burrowing between pavers, preventing damage to your hardscape.
Durability: Once set, polymeric sand provides a stable foundation for your outdoor surfaces, resisting erosion and maintaining the integrity of your hardscape.
Enhanced Aesthetics: Polymeric sand comes in various colors to complement your outdoor design, giving your patio, walkway, or driveway a polished and finished look.
Our Polymeric Sand Installation Process:
At Wet Technologies Power Washing, we follow a meticulous process to ensure the proper installation of polymeric sand:
Preparation: We thoroughly clean the surface area to remove debris, dirt, and old jointing materials.
Application: Next, we apply the polymeric sand evenly into the joints, ensuring complete coverage and filling any gaps.
Activation: Once the sand is applied, we lightly mist the surface with water to activate the binding agents and initiate the hardening process.
Finishing Touches: After the sand has set, we carefully sweep away any excess material and inspect the area to ensure a smooth and uniform finish.
